artisan crafts and floral art

The beautifully renovated Board School is the venue for Artisan Crafts and Floral Art. Flower arranging groups and individuals are invited to reserve a window embrasure to display a floral arrangement on this year’s theme of “the Arts”. There will be a competition on the day, and visitors to our craft fayre will be invited to vote for their favourite displays. Prizes will be awarded to the winning entries.

Ros Hatcher

Ros is based in Llantwit Major, South Wales  surrounded by the rugged awe inspiring coast and countryside. Everything she does is hand crafted and designed. From a simple heart to an intricate A3 sized panel give her your ideas and she will create you a fantastic piece of art.


Lynne Croft

 Lynne is an artist and crafter living in Cwmbran. Predominantly working in wool, she makes a variety of felted items with a mixture of wet and needle felting.


Rod Hall

Retired as Head of Three-dimensional Design, University of Wales. Rod has recently been designing exclusive natural wood furniture incorporating crystals. Also, projects upcycling glass, driftwood and stained glass. His work has been exhibited in many galleries over many years including two world firsts.

Gareth Thorne

Gareth moved to Chepstow 5 years ago and found the natural area an inspiration.

Gareth creates glass art for both home and garden as well as jewellery with upcycled nonprecious metals. “I believe we need more colour in the world and through my work hopefully I can add to it”.

Callum Stephen

Callum Stephen is a woodturner based in St Albans Hertfordshire. He has recently set up a woodturning business, with  20% of all sales going to mental health charities. Callum mostly makes live edge bowls but also makes trinket boxes, platters, rolling pins and more!

Jennifer Goslin

Jennifer trained as a fine artist and in 2011 reinvented herself as a designer/illustrator under the title Fair Feather Illustrator, She enjoys matching English Idioms with quirky imagery painting and drawing using the traditional methods of ink, pen, and brush with mixed media.

Fair Feather, not just a fair-weather friend… Original artwork designed for Quality Textiles; bags, T-shirts, T towels, Cushion Covers, placemats, a touch of rusticity in this hi-tech world… Image and text combined in a few mute words.


Olivia Phillips

Olivia is an illustrator focusing on nature and animal drawings with a whimsical, storytelling style. She uses her illustrations to make prints, bookmarks, stickers, and much more.


Lesley Jane Jewellery

Lesley makes silver, copper and enamel jewellery and small-scale copperware items, using traditional metalworking techniques. Her big passion is using reclaimed and recycled metal, wherever she can. For example, most recently, a microbrewery in Cardiff gave Lesley lots of copper piping which she is now cutting up and turning it into ornaments, pendants and earrings.

Lesley’s work is available to buy online, at craft fairs & markets throughout the year and at selected shops & galleries.



Vikki Gibson

is Vikki from wooden heart designs. She is an artist and crafter based just outside the Forest of Dean. Vikki hand paints terracotta bird feeders and hand craft needle felt/ wool art pictures and sculptures. She  sells her work locally in gift shops and art markets.

Fi Harris

Fi, is a  felt-maker, printer and creative experimenter. Working from her home-based studio in North Somerset she plays with textiles, textures and techniques. Using wool and water to produce unique felted pieces for hanging and wearing, papers and inks to create prints and hand-bound notebooks.

Maureen Parker

Maureen loves working with textiles and makes a mixture of sewn items and needle felted animals – but admits that the needle felting has rather taken over. She particularly loves that there are no patterns, and because of that, each felted animal is unique. Hares and mice are her favourites, but Maureen will make any animal that takes her fancy!

Christine Taylor

Christine is a hobbyist glass fuser and has been creating glass art for just over a year.  Christine has always loved the tactile feeling of glass, but since discovering that she could manipulate glass to produce things of beauty, she feels that she’s ‘in heaven’.



Edward Morrisby

Edward Morrisby is Caldicot based, art is something he was born to, coming from a very artistic family. He creates bespoke minimalistic and contemporary artistic pieces, that express the wood’s natural organic splendour. Offering artistic functionality and furnishing all living spaces with decorative and creative art. Influenced by the innate artistic beauty found in the natural world, in trees and forests. Utilising wood as the medium of his artwork, he studies his art through practical experience. Using his inherent imaginative ability, that sees art in a piece of raw wood. All wood is sourced sustainably from local fallen or storm-damaged trees. Drawing stimulus from the works of Phil Anderson.

All hand-painted in Chepstow. Greatly inspired by nature, wild animals, the sky and wildflowers.
